Icon Digital launched a completely redesigned and redeveloped OtisRedding.com in 2012.
We are honored to have been given the opportunity to design a website and digital identity for one of the greatest singers of all time – The King Of Soul.
Because everything we do is based on our love of music and the brilliant Artists that create it, we went deep.
Working together with The Redding Estate, we embarked on a quest to obtain the highest-resolution scans of every single archival image in the archives. We uncovered a treasure trove of fascinating material, much of which had never been released to the public.
We wanted Otis’ work to speak for itself, and to let nothing stand in the way of it.
Every page, every typeface, every interface was painstakingly designed to have a unique look and feel that reflect the depth, energy, and ethos of Otis’ art – and of his astounding creative output.
Our website was nominated for a 2014 Web Awwward ‘for design, creativity, and innovation on the internet’.
